ok... so my husband felt bad that the elders wanted to meet with us and he wasn't responding... so he set it up for saturday at 2 even though everyone said dont meet with them.
oh ya, and everyone said not to meet with them at your house, but again, he didn't want to rock the boat.
it's funny, though he was the first one to leave, he's still afraid and doesn't want to "raise any red flags" he's willing to just say "we're discouraged, can you just leave us alone fora while" feel free to yell at him (robert7).. here's the thing.

As for the last few comments that show that MAYBE if we keep it light, we can just be "hurt and discouraged" and just be able to walk away... i guess we should start with that, then if they want to push more, have our DA letters ready in case?

I realize that saturday at our elders meeting we're gonna give them our DA letter. This is DAMN EMOTIONAL stuff. I feel like i'm shaking all the time and have had a stomache ache for at least a month now.
So I want to go to a few of my best friends over the next couple days and say "goodbye". I want to be able to hug them, cry, and do it right.

I'm just going to miss everyone so much- i dont know how to take it. I sound so "tough" talking about how exciting my new life is going to be, daughters birthday party etc. but... truth is ... this SUCKS! my heads gonna explode!!! IF the end was so near, and they BELIEVED It....
-they would go out in service EVERY EVENING when people were HOME
-they would have some kind of billboards, radio, TV, ways to reach the masses, cuz house to house isn't cuttin it
-they would NOT be going to college, without question!
- you would NOT buy a house, get a mortgage
- NOT have kids!
-NOT go on vacation for fear it would start when you're far from home!!

i love my dad & mom so much.
they are just so involved with the religion and will not see any other point of few.
my son is with my parents spending his first week of summer vacation with them.

it shows you beyond a doubt that this is NOT a true religion. and dont forget... when someone leaves, the first reaction is for those that stay in to cling on even harder. give it some time, dont "attack" his religion, i like that you let your son go. show you're a bigger person than they are. the best thing is to get on with your life and show that you are a good, smart person that has positive views and wishes nothing ill on anyone. It's hard, almost impossible. the alternative is to rip yourself up for years to come, and you dont want your son to see that. ALready my 8 year old is trying to read this message board over my shoulder, and i dont want her to have to deal with all this. Life should be fun for her, and as long as i can keep my part positive and fun (and only breakdown in private) then she MIGHT have a normal upringing.
You'll make friends that ARENT going to be conditional! i cant wait! that is the most exciting thing i can imagine now, and i hold onto the hopes of how fun birthdays, family gatherings and such are going to be when i'm confronted with the hell and trauma the witnesses want to put me thru.

Thank you so much for all the great suggestions.. I"m still a little torn,.. though i'd REALLY prefer to tell them what i really think and get it over with and start my new life... after all... i'm planning my daughters first birthday party ever... (she's 8) in July...
I did want to comment to Candlelight... How they pinned you on that question.. i was talking to a pioneer "friend"- i now use the term losely- and she actually said to me" do you no longer consider yourself one of jehovah's witnesses??" i was crying at the time, obviously upset, confused , scared, and then TO BACK ME IN THAT CORNER???!??!?!?!? WHAT THE HELL?/ I told her.. at the time "i'm NOT ready to make a statement like that!!!'
my wife excitedly told me that she talked to the wife of an elder that just came back from.
the special training for elders in upper state new york and that the elders are being told .
to go back to their congregations and to get them ready for the great tribulation.. i said to her that is great news !!!!
The thing of it is... as long as they say its "close" .... everyone LOVES that... they FEED on it! When they announce it at the convention everyone claps, holds up their arms and goes "whoop whoop whoop!!!!!!" the brainwashing, mind control, whatever you want to call it makes them love it, and makes them cling to it more, the bastards. They need to do this for the people that might be getting discouraged by the bookstudy change or the moletsters are going to be pulled back in the ranks.
